Terms and Conditions – EGStour

Overview

Welcome to EGStour, your trusted travel partner for authentic and unforgettable journeys across Egypt. Before booking a tour with us, please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these conditions in full. These booking conditions, together with your itinerary, booking form, our Privacy Policy, and our Website Terms of Use, form the basis of your contract with EGStour.

1. Booking Policy

When you make a booking, the lead traveler (the first person named on the booking form) agrees on behalf of all passengers that: They have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions. They consent to the use of personal data according to our Privacy Policy. They are over 18 years of age and legally authorized to make the booking. They accept full financial responsibility for all persons included in the booking.

2. Payments and Deposits

A confirmed contract with EGStour is valid only once: A non-refundable deposit has been received. A signed and completed booking form has been submitted (online or by post). A confirmation invoice has been issued by EGStour. The standard deposit is 2.5% per person for group tours (excluding flight and insurance costs). Certain tours may require a higher deposit, which will be specified at the time of booking. If a booking is made within 60 days of departure, the full tour price is due immediately. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before departure. Failure to do so may result in automatic cancellation, with applicable cancellation charges.

3. Financial Protection

EGStour guarantees that all customer payments are fully protected, covering both deposits and final balances as stated in your booking confirmation. For packages including flights, financial protection applies to the land portion only. Airline tickets are governed by airline and agent policies.

4. Price Adjustments and Surcharges

EGStour reserves the right to: Amend prices for unsold tours. Correct pricing errors on confirmed holidays. Increase prices due to external factors such as: Fuel or transport costs. Taxes or fees imposed by third parties (e.g., airports, ports, or tourism authorities). Exchange rate fluctuations. We will absorb any increase up to 2% of your total trip cost. If the increase exceeds 8%, you may cancel your trip and receive a full refund, excluding amendment or credit card fees.

5. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all EGStour travelers. Your policy must cover: Trip cancellation Medical expenses and emergencies Repatriation Personal belongings Proof of valid travel insurance is required before travel. EGStour bears no responsibility for losses that would otherwise be covered by insurance.

6. Accuracy of Information

EGStour strives to provide accurate pricing and information across all communication channels. However, updates may occur due to operational or supplier changes. Please verify all details before confirming your booking.

7. Passport, Visa, and Health Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring your passport, visa, and health documents meet entry requirements for Egypt and any destinations on your itinerary. Passports must be valid for at least six months after your return date. EGStour is not liable for any loss or delay resulting from incomplete or incorrect documentation.

8. Amendments by You

To modify your booking after confirmation, contact us in writing as soon as possible. Administrative and supplier fees may apply. If we cannot fulfill your request, and you choose to cancel, cancellation charges will apply as outlined below.

9. Transfer of Booking

Bookings may be transferred to another traveler at least 7 days before departure, provided the new traveler meets all requirements and pays a USD 75 transfer fee.

10. Cancellation by You

If you cancel your booking, written notification must be received by EGStour. Cancellation fees are as follows:

If cancellation is due to reasons covered by your insurance, you may claim these charges from your insurer.

11. Changes or Cancellations by EGStour

As travel plans are often made months in advance, EGStour may occasionally need to make changes or cancel a tour. In the event of cancellation, you will receive one of the following: A comparable alternative tour. A refund of any difference in price if the alternative is of lower value. A full refund if no suitable alternative is available. During global events such as the Covid-19 pandemic, EGStour offers 100% credit flexibility toward a future booking if your tour is canceled for safety reasons.

12. Force Majeure

EGStour cannot be held liable for events beyond our control, including: Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, extreme weather) War, terrorism, or political unrest Epidemics or pandemics Government restrictions or technical failures In such cases, refunds or compensations will follow supplier policies and travel insurance coverage.

13. Health and Fitness

All participants must be medically fit to travel. If you have a health condition, disability, or dietary requirement, please inform EGStour at the time of booking. Some tours involve physical activities; participants unable to swim must notify us if booking cruises or water-based excursions.

14. Behaviour and Responsibility

Travelers are expected to respect local customs, fellow passengers, and EGStour staff. EGStour reserves the right to remove any traveler whose behavior is unsafe or inappropriate, without refund or further liability.

15. Complaints and Customer Support

If you encounter a problem during your trip:

  • Report it immediately to the local supplier (hotel, guide, or transport provider).

Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of your tour’s end, including booking reference and relevant details.

16. Acceptance of Risk

By booking with EGStour, you acknowledge that adventure travel may involve certain risks. You agree to travel at your own discretion and comply with any additional health and safety protocols.
