Day 1Welcome to Cairo – Arrival & Leisure

Arrive in Cairo, where you will be warmly greeted by our representative at the airport. After assistance with visa formalities and luggage, enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Once checked in, you’ll receive a short briefing about your journey ahead along with helpful local insights. The rest of the day is yours to unwind or begin exploring Egypt’s vibrant capital. For those arriving early, optional evening experiences such as Sound and Light Show at the pyramids can be arranged.

Day 2Cairo – Egyptian Museum, Pyramids & Sphinx

After breakfast, your Egyptian adventure truly begins. You will start with a visit to the renowned Egyptian Museum, located in the heart of Cairo. This extraordinary museum houses one of the world’s most important collections of ancient Egyptian antiquities, including the legendary treasures of King Tutankhamun. Accompanied by an expert Egyptologist guide, you will explore the museum’s highlights while gaining fascinating insights into Egypt’s rich and complex history.
Next, you will travel to the Giza Plateau, one of the most iconic archaeological sites in the world. Here, you will stand before the awe-inspiring Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only remaining wonder of the ancient world. You will also see the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, each with its own unique features and historical significance. Nearby, the enigmatic Sphinx, with its lion’s body and human face, has stood guard over the pyramids for thousands of years.
For those seeking a deeper experience, there is the option to enter one of the pyramids and explore its inner chambers (subject to availability).
In the evening, you will transfer to the railway station to board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan, a comfortable and memorable way to travel through Egypt.

Day 3Aswan – Nubian Village & Philae Temple

Arriving in Aswan in the morning, you will be transferred to your hotel overlooking the Nile River. Aswan is known for its tranquil beauty, with its palm-fringed islands, granite outcrops, and traditional feluccas gliding across the water. After some time to refresh, your exploration of this charming southern city begins
You will visit a traditional Nubian village, where you will experience a unique cultural encounter. The Nubian people are known for their warm hospitality, colorful homes, and rich heritage. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about their customs and daily life while enjoying a freshly prepared local lunch.
In the afternoon, take a scenic motorboat ride to the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Originally located on Philae Island, the temple complex was carefully relocated to Agilkia Island to protect it from flooding after the construction of the High Dam. Surrounded by water, the temple offers a peaceful and picturesque setting.
The evening is free for you to explore Aswan at your leisure. You may wish to stroll along the Corniche, browse local markets filled with spices and handicrafts, or simply relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere.

Day 4Aswan – Abu Simbel Option & Felucca Sailing

Today begins with an optional early morning excursion to the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel, located near the Sudanese border. These colossal rock temples, built by Ramses II, are among Egypt’s most impressive monuments and are renowned for their grand scale and intricate carvings.
If you choose to remain in Aswan, you can enjoy a relaxed morning exploring the city, visiting the Nubian Museum, or browsing the vibrant local souks.
In the afternoon, you will board a traditional felucca sailboat for a leisurely journey along the Nile. Sailing on a felucca is one of the most authentic and peaceful experiences in Egypt. As you drift with the wind, you will pass lush riverbanks, small villages, and scenes of everyday rural life.
Your Nubian crew will prepare fresh meals and ensure your comfort throughout the journey. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner on board and spend the night under the stars on the deck of the boat. A support boat will accompany you, providing access to bathroom facilities and additional amenities.

Day 5Edfu Temple & Luxor Arrival

After breakfast on board, you will disembark and continue your journey north. Your first stop is the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Dedicated to the falcon god Horus, the temple offers a remarkable glimpse into ancient religious practices and architecture.
From here, travel onward to Luxor, a city often described as the world’s greatest open-air museum due to its extraordinary concentration of ancient monuments.
In the evening, you will visit Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated against the night sky. Located in the center of the city, this elegant temple provides a magical introduction to the grandeur of ancient Thebes.

Day 6Luxor West Bank – Valley of the Kings

This morning, cross the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor, where many of Egypt’s most important archaeological sites are located. Here, you will explore several tombs, each adorned with intricate wall paintings that have survived for thousands of years.
You will also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural masterpiece built into the cliffs, as well as the impressive Medinat Habu temple and the towering Colossi of Memnon.
For an unforgettable experience, you may choose to take an optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise, offering breathtaking views over the Nile Valley and surrounding monuments.

Day 7Karnak Temple & Return to Cairo

Enjoy a relaxed morning before heading to the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex in the afternoon. This vast site was once the religious heart of ancient Egypt and is dedicated primarily to the god Amun.
Walk through grand courtyards, towering pylons, and the famous Hypostyle Hall, where 134 massive columns create an awe-inspiring forest of stone. The scale and detail of Karnak make it one of Egypt’s most impressive landmarks.
Later, you will transfer to the train station for your overnight sleeper journey back to Cairo.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour through Cairo’s historic streets and bustling markets. Enter through ancient gates and wander through narrow alleys filled with traditional crafts, spices, and textiles before reaching the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
