Day 1Arrival in Cairo and Hotel Transfer

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative team who will assist you through immigration procedures, visa formalities, and baggage collection. Once completed, you will be escorted to your private transfer vehicle for a comfortable drive to your hotel in Cairo. During the journey, your staff will provide a brief introduction to the city and outline the upcoming days of your itinerary so you know exactly what to expect.
After check-in, you will have time to rest and settle into your accommodation. Our team will ensure you are comfortable and familiar with the hotel facilities as well as nearby amenities such as restaurants and shops. The remainder of the day is free for leisure and relaxation after your flight.

Day 2Cairo – Egyptian Museum, Pyramids & Sphinx

Your day begins with a guided visit to the renowned Egyptian Museum in central Cairo, home to one of the world’s richest collections of ancient artifacts. Here, you will explore priceless treasures from Egypt’s pharaonic past, including the world-famous Tutankhamun exhibit. Your Egyptologist guide will provide detailed explanations, bringing ancient history vividly to life.
Following the museum visit, you will travel to the Giza Plateau on the outskirts of Cairo. This iconic site is home to the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the legendary Great Sphinx. You will have time to admire these monumental structures and learn about their construction, history, and significance. There is also an opportunity to enter one of the pyramids (subject to availability), although your guide cannot accompany you inside.
In the evening, you will board an overnight sleeper train bound for Aswan. Settle into your private cabin, enjoy dinner on board, and relax as you travel south through Egypt.

Day 3Aswan – Philae Temple & High Dam

Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be transferred to your hotel overlooking the Nile River. Aswan is known for its tranquil atmosphere, scenic islands, and traditional feluccas sailing along the river. After check-in, you will have time to relax before beginning your afternoon sightseeing program.
Your first excursion is a boat trip to the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Located on an island, the temple is surrounded by calm waters and offers a peaceful and spiritual setting. Your guide will explain its relocation and historical importance in preserving ancient Egyptian heritage.
Next, you will visit the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt’s most important modern engineering projects. It controls the flooding of the Nile and provides electricity and irrigation to much of the country. From here, you will enjoy panoramic views over Lake Nasser.
After returning to your hotel, the evening is free to explore Aswan’s vibrant markets or stroll along the Nile Corniche. Optional activities include a camel ride to St. Simeon’s Monastery or simply relaxing in the city’s peaceful atmosphere.

Day 4Nubian Culture, Museum & Unfinished Obelisk

Today is dedicated to exploring the rich heritage of Nubian culture in Aswan. You will begin with a visit to a traditional Nubian village, where brightly painted homes and welcoming locals offer insight into a unique way of life along the Nile. You will learn about Nubian customs, traditions, and daily routines, and enjoy a traditional lunch prepared locally.
Afterward, you will visit the Nubian Museum, which showcases artifacts, history, and cultural exhibits that trace thousands of years of Nubian civilization. The museum provides an in-depth understanding of the region’s historical importance and its connection to ancient Egypt.
Your next stop is the Unfinished Obelisk, located in an ancient granite quarry. Here, you will see the largest known ancient obelisk that was never completed due to a crack in the stone. This site offers fascinating insight into ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques and engineering methods.

Day 5Abu Simbel Sunrise Experience & Felucca Sailing

After exploring the temples and learning about their relocation history, you will return to Aswan. Following lunch, you will board a traditional felucca sailboat for a relaxing cruise along the Nile River. Day 7West Bank Tombs & Karnak Temple, Sleeper Train

Today begins with a journey across the Nile to Luxor’s West Bank, home to some of Egypt’s most significant archaeological sites. You will explore the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were buried in elaborately decorated tombs hidden within desert cliffs. You will also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the ancient workers’ village of Deir el-Medina.
For those interested, an optional early morning hot air balloon ride offers breathtaking views over the Nile Valley at sunrise.
In the afternoon, you will visit the magnificent Karnak Temple complex on the East Bank. This vast religious site features colossal columns, sacred lakes, towering statues, and intricate hieroglyphs dedicated to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. The Hypostyle Hall is particularly impressive with its forest of massive stone pillars.

After arriving back in Cairo, you will transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the morning and early afternoon is free for optional activities. You may choose from a variety of excursions, such as exploring Coptic Cairo, the Citadel of Saladin, or the Mohamed Ali Mosque.
Alternative day trips include visiting Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis to learn about the evolution of pyramid construction, or traveling further to Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast. Another option is a desert excursion to Wadi El Rayan and the Valley of the Whales.
In the late afternoon, you will join a guided walking tour through Cairo’s historic backstreets and bazaars.
